For those of you who have children, you'll LOVE this. In an Autism group that I belong to on Myspace, we have a thread going naming all the traits we love in our Autistic children. Even if you don't have a special needs child, I'd love to hear the traits you admire in your children and grandchildren (if you have any!).
Here's just a small example of the traits I love and admire in my sons:
I admire how both of my sons are quick to forgive, let go, and move on.
I love the random hugs and kisses from both of my boys.
I admire how my oldest son Charlie is willing to help others, even if it's something simple like handing me a towel to clean up a mess.
I admire how my youngest son Danny is full of smiles.
I LOVE how both of my sons pretend to use books, lids, or blocks as garage doors for their cars and trains. Their imagination amazes me.
I admire how both of them are full of energy! What I wouldn't give to have boundless energy.
Those are just a few of things I love and admire in my sons.
